1. Information We Do NOT Collect

BillBox is designed as a local-first application.

• We do not collect, store, or have access to your personal information, receipts, warranty details, or images on our servers.
• We do not require you to create an account to use the application.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

All data you input into the app stays on your device:

• Receipt Images & PDFs: Stored in your device's local storage.
• Bill Details: Stored in a local database (Hive) on your device.
• OCR Data: Text recognition is performed on-device using Google ML Kit. No image data is sent to our servers for processing.

3. Permissions We Request

To provide our services, we may ask for the following permissions:

• Camera: To take photos of your receipts and bills.
• Storage/Files: To save receipt images and PDFs, and to import/export backups.
• Notifications: To send you reminders before your warranties expire.
• Biometrics (FaceID/Fingerprint): If you enable the "App Lock" feature, it uses your system's secure authentication. We do not have access to your biometric data.

4. Backups and Cloud Integration

• Manual Backups: You can export your data as a ZIP file to your device or share it to any service you choose.
• Google Drive (Optional): BillBox includes an optional feature to backup your data directly to your personal Google Drive account. This connection is peer-to-peer between your device and Google; we never see or store your Google credentials or backup files.

5. Third-Party Services

• Google Play Store: Your payment information is handled securely by Google. We only receive a confirmation of your subscription status.
• Google ML Kit: Used for on-device text recognition. Processing happens locally on your hardware.

6. Children's Privacy

Since we do not collect any personal data, BillBox is safe for all users. However, we do not knowingly market to children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the app.
